Update 2/24/23
The Black Joy Parade is a rain or shine event. We are constantly monitoring the weather forecast and don’t currently believe it will have a major effect on the spirit or attendance of the event. If at any point the weather makes it impossible or unsafe to hold our event, we will send an update to our community.
PARADE ROUTE
The parade will begin on February 26, 2023 at the intersection of 14 St. and Franklin St. Oakland, CA at 12:30 PM.
We will finish the parade at the corner of Franklin and 19th St., and celebrating in the blocks between there and 21st St.
CELEBRATION SITE
The main entry to the Celebration Site is on 19th and Franklin St. There are many activations within the Celebration Site including two stages, vendors, bars, food and much more.
